The Clockwork Valkyrie, Chapter Three

Hey, all!

I have the next chapter of "The Clockwork Valkyrie" right here. Of all the chapter's in this story, this one probably took me the longest as I had to do a little bit of research for it, but it was worth the effort, I think. But that's really up to y'all. Have fun!

Great chapter! So it's weekly releases?

An exciting chapter, though I was expecting more airship adventure. I like the way you've portrayed the Valkyries as not only an unstoppable and dangerous swarm but also a malevolent one. This is my favourite of your stories, so it's great to see regular updates.

*whistles* Wow. While I may have liked a little more time on The Octavia (I always like that pre-adventure vibe), before it crashed and burned, your timing, by doing so straight on the coat tails of the beginning of their relationship, really worked. Too, I reckon that skipping the whole 'selling of the flat and buying passage' was a good move, because with any story, especially an adventure one, you can't afford for people to lose interest.

:D And I'm definitely not losing interest. Quite the contrary, in fact.

Is it weird that I kinda wish Milva is interested in Flannery, instead? I mean, Tetra is more personable and all, but Flannery has that 'silent and mysterious' deal going on. Or, at least, that was the vibe I got when we were first introduced. Also, it seemed like a 'bigger' moment than when we met Tetra.

Their eyes met.

Milva paused as the girl named Flannery, still-faced and staid, ran a calm hand through her hair, hair as fiery an amber as a oil lamp’s flame. It was the first thing Milva noticed about her. How explosively red her hair was.

Milva didn't notice anything about Tetra. Not like that, at least. So I did think, at first, that Flannery would be the romantic interest. You may still take that route, depending on whether that display of anger (jealousy, maybe?) was for Milva, or for Tetra.*shrugs* Who knows? Well, besides you :P

Looking forward to more
